About Me

Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.

- John F. Kennedy

Overview

Since starting my career as an ENL teacher ten years ago, I have learned continuously through my experiences in the classroom and graduate level course work. In the classroom setting, I have increased my collaboration skills by working with multiple co-teachers, enhanced my organization and planning skills, and strengthened my instructional modification skills. Outside of the classroom, I have increased my involvement in the community and district-wide initiatives through committees and extracurricular roles. Within these roles I have collaborated and communicated with administration throughout the district.

Educational Leadership Philosophy & Goals

I believe all students can achieve success when provided with the right environment and support system.

Dedication, high expectations, student safety and a positive learning environment are the foundation for a successful school community.

Students’ families are an integral part of the education process and should be a vital part of the school community.

As an Assistant Principal I would strive to:

  1. help create a positive, safe learning environment where all students are supported, engaged and actively involved in their learning, and continuously developing their critical thinking skills.

  1. utilize my strengths in interpersonal communication skills, collaboration, organization, and modification of instruction to support students and staff in a successful learning environment.

  1. guide others in strengthening their personal masteries, encourage a collaborative environment, collaborate with stakeholders to generate successful outcomes for all students, and encourage a shared vision that best serves the needs of our community.

  1. build trust, to be available to listen and ask questions in order to ensure open and honest communication, to gather and provide feedback from all stakeholders, and support the social, emotional, and academic learning environment needs for students and staff.
